Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams (also referred to as "The Last Lecture") was a lecture given by Carnegie Mellon University computer science professor Randy Pausch on September 18, 2007. Pausch had been diagnosed with a terminal pancreatic cancer on September 19, 2006, and had had an unsuccessful pancreaticoduodenectomy procedure performed to try to stop the growth of the cancer the same day. His doctors later told him that he had only three to six months of good health left.

The Last Lecture, is the book that Randy Pausch co-authored about everything he wanted his kids to know, after his pancreatic cancer had taken his life. It tells tales of his childhood, many important lessons he wants his kids to learn, and anything and everything he wants his kids to know about him. He makes the point, many times, that you need to have fun in everything you do, you need to live life to its fullest because you never know when it will be taken from you.

I'd like to introduce this blog, Video Motivation - a source of motivational videos for inspiration, personal development, and entertainment!

I want to be more motivated. I want to set and achieve more of my goals.

For me, setting goals is far more difficult than actually following through with the work and achieving what I want. Watching motivational videos (especially those that focus on goal setting, productivity, and different ways of doing things) actually seems to motivate me. Who knew? ;)

So, I thought, what better way to get motivated than watching a motivational video every morning? And what better way to enforce that kind of discipline than by creating a blog I update every morning, sharing the video I just watched?

And since I'm posting stuff anyway, I may as well include Google Adsense... and seeing as I'm putting in a marginal attempt to gain traffic, I may as well start a Twitter feed and a Facebook page... you know how it goes.

So please... read. Comment. Share. Send me videos. Make suggestions. Click on things. :)
